A Portrait Demonstration

Last week I have been kindly invited by the Twickenham Art Circle to paint a portrait demonstration. One of the members, Leslie, has impeccably sat for the two hours session.
I have to say I was rather scared: this was the first time I painted from life in front of so many people ( about twenty five members showed up) and it was just after three long weeks of holidays without working.
Anyway I think it went quite well, and somehow I managed to talk and paint at the same time. The resulting work was far from finished but I hope has given the audience a good idea of my working method.
This is a short slideshow from the day.
